This is the second consecutive year that the company has received this recognition, and the achievement reaffirms Etelesolv's continuing commitment to employee engagement.
The process for becoming officially recognized as a Best Small and Medium Employer is both meticulous and highly competitive. This national awards program recognizes top Canadian employers who employ between 50 and 399 persons; the study is run by Queen's School of Business, Queen's Centre for Business Venturing, and HR consulting firm AON Hewitt. The BSME program is comparable to Maclean's Magazine's Best Employer in Canada awards, which is also spearheaded by Aon Hewitt.
Because the BSME program is centered on recognizing employee engagement, Etelesolv's ranking was primarily determined from results obtained from Employee Opinion Surveys issued by the program. Additional inputs to the evaluation process included the assessment of organizational practices and perspectives from the leadership team. The annual BSME study is now in its 15th year, and results are published in PROFIT Magazine every year.
