Whitefish, MT / ACCESSWIRE / October 27, 2014 / Cannabis stocks gained ground last week, led by a ~15% recovery in shares of GW Pharmaceuticals plc (NASDAQ: GWPH). MedBox Inc. (OTC: MDBX) shares also rose more than 25%, sending the overall Marijuana Index(TM) significantly higher for the week. Traders will be watching for a continuation of these trends into this week, although a lot may depend on the movements of the larger overall market.

On the regulatory side, the cannabis industry continues to gear up for a series of legalization votes in November. Polls suggest that support for cannabis remains strong, but Colorado's gubernatorial elections will be closely watched. States like Delaware that have no upcoming votes on legalization this November also appear well positioned for a vote during the 2016 election season.
