Juniper Networks falls after failing to impress with earnings results and the company guided lower for 2015. Revenue in the three months ended in September fell 8% to $1.13 billion, yielding EPS of 36 cents. Analysts had expected $1.13 billion and 35 cents per share. For the current quarter, Juniper expects revenue in a range of $1.025 billion to $1.075 billion, and EPS of 28 cents to 32 cents. That compares to consensus of $1.17 billion and 40 cents per share.

Beating Q1 2015 earnings estimates helps Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) shares move up 2.47% at Friday's close on about 61 million shares traded.

Microsoft beat analyst estimates for its Q1 2015 earnings. The company reported EPS of $0.68 and $23.201 billion in revenue (adjusted for one-time Nokia items). This is compared to the consensus of $0.56 EPS and $22.015 billion in revenue.
