WeedHire.com will be expanding the Advisory Board to include top executives and leaders of other legal cannabis organizations.
Known as the "Martha Stewart of Marijuana", Ms. Shuman brings 25 years of marketing industry experience. In 2006, Ms. Shuman’s personal battle with cancer and subsequent use of cannabis treatments led to her appointment as the Executive Director for Beverly Hills NORML. Ms. Shuman also serves as an activist, a leader and one of the most visible women in the medical marijuana reform movement. In 2010, as Director of Celebrity, Media & Public Relations of Kush Magazine, Ms. Shuman built the largest cannabis media source in the world, taking the magazine from $150,000 in gross revenues to more than $6.5 million in revenue within 18 months.
Ms. Shuman has successfully secured marijuana-related product placements in FX’s Wilfred, CBS News, The New Ricki Lake Show, and more. Ms. Shuman lectures internationally about the marijuana industry on everything from seed to sale of the cannabis plant and is currently working with the prestigious William Morris Endeavor Agency in Beverly Hills on film, television, book and lecturing deals.
