The company reported earnings of 55 cents a share for the third quarter which came in 5 cents above the Capital IQ Consensus Estimate of 50 cents a share. Revenue grew 12.4% from the year-ago quarter. Analysts had expected the company to report revenue of $1.36 billion for the quarter.

The world’s largest airline reported third quarter earnings that topped expectations. The company said it had profit of $1.28 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to $1.66 per share. The average estimate of analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.63 per share. The company reached the highest earnings in its history.
