Leading Figures in the World of Cryptology and Data Security Have Joined the Global Security Industry Investment Firm's Expert Team

 

Washington, DC / ACCESSWIRE / September 24, 2014 / Monument Capital Group Holdings (MCGH), a global private investment firm that focuses on non-lethal products and services in the global and national security sectors, is pleased to announce that respected experts Michael Leiter, Professor Silvio Micali and Professor Alex Pentland will be joining its advisory teams. Leiter, Micali, and Pentland will join an elite team comprised of leading figures from the worlds of finance, private equity, and government as well as the technology security sectors.

Leiter, who joined MCGH as a senior advisor, is Head of Global Government & Cyber Operations and Senior Counselor to the CEO of Palantir Technologies. From 2007 to 2011, he was Director of the United States National Counterterrorism Center. He will work with the MCGH team to provide analysis of the changing global cyber security space and help to guide the firm's target market and acquisition strategy.

Additionally, Micali and Pentland have joined the MCGH team as scientific advisors. Micali is a world-renowned cryptologist at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Turing Award Laureat. Pentland, who is considered a world-leading expert on data, works as the Director of Human Dynamics at the MIT Media Lab. Forbes named Pentland one of the "seven most powerful data scientists in the world."

Leiter, Micali, and Pentland have joined the team at a time when spending on global and national security technology and related services exceeds more than $1.3 trillion annually. This number is expected to grow seven percent per annum.

MCGH's team welcome Leiter, Micali, and Pentland and look forward to the trio sharing their expertise. At this time, the senior team is comprised of: Robert F. Koç, the Chairman of Koç Holding, Turkey's largest conglomerate and one of Europe's largest companies; Thomas F. McLarty, III, the former Chief of Staff to President Clinton and former Chairman of Arkla, a Fortune 500 natural gas company; Douglas A. Ollivant, the former National Security Council (NSC) Director under both Presidents G.W. Bush and Obama; and Kulbir Singh, the former Head of the Western India Corporate Banking Division at Grindlays Bank.
