NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / September 18, 2014 / Consumer Research Group released this week some important findings about consumer satisfaction with dental snoring solutions such as mouthguards, chin and jaw straps, ePAP etc. and the comparison with cPAP masks.
The survey included 90 sample members between the ages of 25 and 55 across different states, who were suffering from moderate sleep apnea for more than 1 year and were prescribed cPAP machines.

Among the bounded response data from consumers, the comfort level on cPAP therapy was compared with whatever snoring mouthpiece the consumer used. The survey only included participants whose comfort level on cPAP therapy was not more than 6 on a scale of 1-10 where 10 is most comfortable.
Anti snoring mouthpieces were rated by participants on a scale of 1-10 on criteria such as Efficiency, comfort, cost, overall user satisfaction and whether participants would like to switch to the mouthpiece from cPAP solutions.

Among the key survey findings:
- More than 55% of the participants responded they'll use a snoring mouthpiece instead of a cPAP
- Tongue holding mouthpieces received the highest overall satisfaction ratings followed by adjustable snoring mouthpiece
- "Comfort" and "Ease of use" were cited as the most prominent reasons for switching to the mouthpiece
- Chin straps and jaw holders received the lowest ratings from participants in terms of efficiency
- Nasal cPAP users were most likely to stick to their cPAP
