New York, NY / ACCESSWIRE / September 10, 2014 / SeeThruEquity, a leading independent equity research and corporate access firm focused on smallcap and microcap public companies, today announced that it has issued a company note on AMP Holding, Inc. (OTCQB: AMPD) highlighting the successful completion of the company’s Workhorse E-GEN(TM) electric truck prototype.

"On September 4, 2014, AMPD announced that the company has successfully completed the build of its prototype E-GEN Electric Truck. The new truck is operational and will participate in the Ride and Drive Technology Parade at the High Efficiency Truck User Forum (HTUF), September 22-24 in Argonne, IL. HTUF is operated by CALSTART, a member organization dedicated to expanding and supporting the clean transportation industry, and is the premier conference for the high efficiency truck and bus arena. This event should provide impactful industry exposure for AMPD and we expect it to be a significant catalyst for future vehicle sales," stated Ajay Tandon, CEO of SeeThruEquity.

Additional highlights of the note are as follows:

- AMPD featured in Fleets & Fuels article, raising awareness. On September 2, 2014, AMPD was featured in an article on www.fleetsandfuels.com, a leading business intelligence website for clean transportation professionals. The article highlighted the EPA approval and discussed the features and value proposition that the E-GEN truck offers fleet managers and the reduced anxiety given the vehicle’s emergency range capabilities. We assume that AMPD will receive a significant amount of industry attention in the coming months as it demonstrates the E-GEN at HTUF and commences with the commercialization of the product. On September 4, 2014, AMPD common stock traded 2.3mn shares, well above the 94,589 three month average volume. AMPD will also be presenting at our upcoming SeeThruEquity Fall Microcap Investor conference in New York City on September 11, 2014, and we would expect the company to have a presence at numerous investor and industry conferences in the upcoming quarters.

- Large addressable markets. AMPD’s E-GEN EVs are purpose-built for the package and product delivery market in which the diesel or gasoline-powered vehicles stop and restart hundreds of times a day. AMPD believes that battery-electric technology is an ideal fit for urban and suburban delivery routes. A company such as United Parcel Service, Inc. (NYSE: UPS), with a fleet of over 103,000 vehicles and given a typical vehicle’s lifecycle, might be expected to purchase 2,000 to 5,000 new vehicles a year to add to its fleet. Product delivery firms, including Aramark (NYSE: ARMK), PepsiCo, Inc. (NYSE: PEP) and Cintas Corporation (NASDAQ: CTAS), are also significant presences in the market. AMPD’s E-GEN EVs speak to these types of customers, as fuel and maintenance costs are significant and a crucial factor in deciding which suppliers to purchase vehicles from. As AMPD’s addressable markets expand from package delivery companies to product deliveries, laundry and uniform services, food services, utilities and special uses (HVAC repair, plumbing, etc.), the revenue potential is quite significant. The current number of commercial step vans in use in the US is approximately 300,000 units. Today between 3% and 4% are replaced with new vehicles every year.
