New Marketplace Connects Tattoo Fans, Professionals

Farmingdale, NY / ACCESSWIRE / Aug 28, 2014 / Shane Baker, founder and CEO of TalesoftheTatt.com, announced the launch of an online marketplace where tattoo fans and professionals can buy and sell merchandise, including apparel, supplies and artwork, in a unique environment where templates give way to personal expression.

According to a recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, 40% of American households now include a tattooed individual. “That’s a huge potential marketplace for tattoo-related merchandise,” said Baker. “We want to give sellers opportunities to reach that market, and buyers the ability to access it.”

Merchants who register with the website can upload an unlimited number of tattoo-related products in a customized storefront. Order fulfillment and customer service are managed by the vendor, while secure payment transactions are processed through the website. No personal information is ever stored on the site, which can accommodate retail and wholesale operations.

“Every tattoo has a story,” said Baker, “and that story is personal and unique to each individual. While mainstream social networks and sales venues structure the user experience and limit creativity, we’re focused on building a community that is all about personal expression.”

The website features a module-based system that allows users to customize their profile and storefront pages. Without the technical or usage limitations that define most social networking experiences, Baker believes that TalesoftheTatt.com members are building a unique online community where personal freedom and creativity reign.

“Templates are for mass markets,” said Baker. “We want individuals.”
