New Brunswick, NJ / ACCESSWIRE / August 20, 2014 / The Carolina Panthers are looking to be back in the thick of it this season. Carolina fans are ready too and demand for Panthers tickets is strong and on the rise. This season promises to be a great one after Carolina's NFC South Division win last year. After a disappointing 7-9 record in the 2012 NFL season, the Carolina Panthers completely turned their team around finishing 12-4 in 2013, winning the NFC South and earning a first-round playoff bye. Unfortunately for Panthers fans, the team was not quite ready to beat the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round; however, the team shows a lot of promise going into the 2014 season.

The Panthers are coming into the 2014 season with quarterback Cam Newton looking the best he has so far in his NFL career. Although his personal stats were not as high as they were during his rookie season in 2011, Newton evolved as a team player helping the offense as a whole to be more productive this past season. The Panthers will be without superstar Wide Receiver Steve Smith in 2014, who was cut during the offseason and receiver and return specialist Ted Ginn Jr. who is now playing for the Arizona Cardinals. While the Panthers offense may not be as productive this season as it was last year, the Panthers defense is looking absolutely terrific again.

The Panthers defense was the second best defense in the NFL in 2013 behind only the Seattle Seahawks, and the defense is showing no signs of slowing down this season. This past season the Panthers defense gave up only 15 point per game, had 20 interceptions, and forced 11 fumbles. The Panthers also have one of the best young linebackers in the league, reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year and Pro Bowler Luke Kuechly. Kuechly had 156 solo tackles this past season, including an NFL single-game record 24 tackles in one game.

The Panthers should have no problem making it back to the playoffs with their schedule. The toughest games will probably be the Panthers three-game stretch at the Green Bay Packers, home against the Seattle Seahawks, and then home against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday Night Football. If the Panthers can win just one of these games, they should have no problem finishing the season with double-digit wins for the second year in a row.

The complete Carolina Panthers schedule for the 2014 season is as follows:

Week 01: September 7th at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Week 02: September 14th vs. Detroit Lions
Week 03: September 21st vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
