New Brunswick, NJ / ACCESSWIRE / August 19, 2014 / They came so close last season and the once dominant San Francisco 49ers are looking to recapture the glory of yesteryear this time around. This season promises to be a great one and both the team and the fans are ready for some traditional 49er winning football. And, as usual, San Francisco 49ers tickets are in high demand in the Bay area. To shop for both pre-season games and regular season games for the 49ers and other NFL teams click here http://ctitickets.com/sports/nfl.aspx

After a tough loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game this past season, the San Francisco 49ers once again fell short of their Super Bowl dreams. The 49ers lost the NFC Championship Game to the New York Giants in 2011, and in 2012 the 49ers lost Super Bowl XLVII to the Baltimore Ravens after failing to convert on a 4th and goal late in the fourth quarter of the big game. Despite these disappointing losses, the 49ers remain one of the best, most well put together teams in the NFL; and with very few roster changes again this offseason, they should have no problem finishing in the top five again this season. The 49ers do still have some issues to face this season: NaVorro Bowman has been placed on the physically unable to perform list after his gruesome knee injury suffered during the NFC Championship Game in Seattle this past season. On top of that, the 49ers may be without one of their top defensive players, Aldon Smith, as he continues to face a variety of off-the-field issues.

The 49ers offense, especially Colin Kaepernick, will be greatly assisted this coming season by the addition of Wide Receiver Stevie Johnson. The 49ers sent a conditional 2015 draft pick to the Buffalo Bills in return for the receiver. Johnson had three consecutive 1,000 yard seasons prior to 2013, and his explosive, play-making style should mesh well with the rest of the 49ers offensive weapons. With options like Johnson, Michael Crabtree, Anquan Boldin, and Vernan Davis, Kaepernick should have no problem putting up the numbers to match his new six-year, $126 million dollar contract extension.

The 49ers have a difficult schedule again this season; and with the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks in their division, the NFC West will certainly not be an easy thing to win this season. The 49ers biggest games this season come Week 13 and Week 15 when they play the Seahawks. Head coach Jim Harbaugh always seems to make these games exhilarating. Week Seven against the Denver Broncos should also turn out to be a pretty exciting as well.

The complete schedule for the San Francisco 49ers 2014 regular season is as follows:

Week 01: September 7th at Dallas Cowboys
Week 02: September 14th vs. Chicago Bears
Week 03: September 21st at Arizona Cardinals
Week 04: September 28th vs. Philadelphia Eagles
