Kevin Bonde, The project manager of Gas Liquids Engineering stated, “This innovative solution is a major modification of the sonicator’s chamber. The new chamber solution would allow the sonication to be carried out by pressure rather than atmospheric conditions, such as solvents formerly utilized by Petrosonic in the past. The new chamber design would allow the use of propane, under pressure conditions, subsequently achieving Petrosonic’s goal to use more economically-efficient and common solvents, while simultaneously increasing the processing capacity per sonicator than that of their previous model”.
The company plans to carry out tests for the Sono Hi-P TM with a prestigious, independent third-party organization to validate the new solution.
