Industry trade publication Billboard Magazine reported that the On the Run Tour was "already one of the summer concert season's hottest engagements" and indicated that tickets sold out in minutes for multiple dates. Due to the large demand, extra concert tour dates were added in some cities including upcoming San Francisco and Pasadena shows following the fast sellout of the first shows in certain cities.
The tour’s two final shows scheduled to take place in Paris, France in September are is expected to be taped and shown on the U.S. television network HBO after the conclusion of the tour. The Paris shows are the final shows of the tour.
