VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / April 22, 2014 / Mission Ready Services Inc. (MRS: TSX-V) - Further to the Mission Ready Services Inc. ("Mission Ready" or "MRSI") announcement on February 11, 2014, MRSI provides the following update on the operations of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Protect the Force Inc. ("PTF" or "the Company").

On November 22, 2013, respirator manufacturers received notification from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear testing errors at the governments Edgewood Chemical Biological Center (ECBC). As a result of these errors, NIOSH and ECBC temporarily halted all CWA testing until test procedures could be validated and are re-testing affected products.

This issue impacted all manufacturers who had products tested and/or approved over a certain period of time at ECBC including products placed for Scott Safety, A Tyco Business, by PTF. Scott Safety in a recent press release announced that it has received NFPA approvals for its Air-Pak X3 and Air-Pak 75 SCBA's to the 2013 Edition of NFPA 1981 and 1982, and will begin shipping immediately.

As part of its agreement with Scott Safety, Protect The Force earns commission income on product sales of certain Scott Safety products to agencies of the United States Federal Government once the product has shipped.

The Air-Pak 75 (AP 75) has been the leading SCBA used by first responders and municipal and industrial firefighters since its introduction in 2007. The key reasons for its success are:

Redundancy of Safety Features - giving firefighters confidence in their life saving equipment and allowing them to focus on the critical job at hand.

Ease of Use - provides firefighters a simple-to-use and easy-to-understand SCBA that requires minimal training, increases operational efficiencies and reduces training costs.

Low Cost of Ownership - lower costs after initial sale through its rugged design, assembly and warranty policy enable the department to direct valuable funding to training and other PPE rather than on maintenance costs.

Scott Safety's Air-Pak remains the most trusted, durable and easy to use SCBA in the fire service, with redundant safety features, a low cost of ownership and firefighter-designed and tested components. And the Scott Safety Air-Pak SCBA is the only SCBA to meet the stringent requirements to be labeled "Made in the USA."

Gary Hess, President of Protect The Force states "I and my team at PTF are proud to be associated with such a world class organization like Scott Safety and look forward to continuing to bring these products to the first responder market"

The mission of Protect the Force is to save lives and enhance the performance of security personnel and those who protect us, by working to ensure they are equipped with the best possible personal protective equipment.
