OLD BRIDGE, NJ - (ACCESSWIRE - Nov. 13, 2013) - Blonder Tongue Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE MKT:BDR) is saddened to report the passing today of Norman A. Westcott at St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ. Norman, or Norrie as he was known, was a Senior Vice President of Operations and devoted employee of the Company serving Blonder Tongue (BT) since 1994. Norrie continued to work every day without complaint during his battle with cancer until his passing.
Prior to joining BT, Norrie served as Vice President of Operations at Tecma, Inc. for nine years from 1985 to 1994. From 1965 to 1985, Norrie held several positions at Texscan Corporation, including Vice President and General Manager of the Test Equipment Division in Indianapolis, IN, where he earned the respect of Jim Luksch, Chief Executive Officer and Bob Palle, President of Blonder Tongue. Norrie was not only their respected fellow employee, but also a dear friend.
Norrie provided an organized and precise approach to material and production planning at BT. Under Norrie's leadership his team ensured that BT exceeded customer expectations for timeliness of production and delivery. Norrie will be greatly missed as a leader, colleague and friend.
