Traditionally Northern Alberta investors would have to travel to Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto or Montreal to personally meet the management and geologists who drive the mining and resource sector.
That is about to change.
This time the miners, technology, core samples and gear are coming to them in the form of the inaugural Fort McMurray Investment Conference, June 13th and 14th.
The first-ever annual event is free to visitors and an excellent opportunity to meet with key players involved in the exploration and production of an array of resources from gold to nickel to molybdenum to potash.

Conference president Wayne Meredith says although the event is ideal for potential investors, it is also a rate opportunity for people of all ages to see, feel and touch elements that are vital in our day-to-day lives, but that may be thousands of meters below their feet.

As many people know the mining and resource sector is in a difficult period at the moment, but Meredith stresses that all companies attending and exhibiting have been thoroughly screened to assure they are viable.
