Luminex Corporation (Nasdaq: LMNX) $16.60. Today announced it has received U.S. FDA clearance of its MAGPIX instrument, with its xTAG Gastrointestinal Pathogen Panel (xTAG GPP). This is the first clinical assay to be cleared on MAGPIX. xTAG GPP is the first U.S. IVD cleared test that can simultaneously detect 11 common viral, bacterial, and parasitic causes of infectious gastroenteritis from a single patient sample.

Global Partners LP (NYSE: GLP) $35.01. Today announced that its subsidiary, Global CNG LLC (“Global CNG”), has received approval from the Bangor Planning Board to develop and operate a compressed natural gas loading station in Bangor, Maine. When construction of the station at Maine Avenue and Godfrey Boulevard is complete, Global CNG, through an alliance with Bangor Gas Company, will provide large commercial, industrial and municipal customers with firm natural gas supply on a year-round basis. The station is scheduled to be open by the end of August.

Global CNG has entered into a multi-year agreement with Bangor Gas, a Gas Natural Inc. to provide firm natural gas supply through its system in Bangor. The CNG station will use proprietary compression technology developed by OsComp Systems, Inc. (“OsComp”) designed to reduce the energy required to compress and transport natural gas. Global Partners announced in March that it had teamed with OsComp to deliver CNG to customers in New England via truck utilizing OsComp’s unique turnkey system, which incorporates specialized trailers and unloaders to create a “virtual” natural gas pipeline.

Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (Nasdaq: AMCC) $7.47. Today announced it has signed a definitive agreement to sell TPACK A/S, a wholly-owned subsidiary based in Copenhagen Denmark, to Altera Corporation. TPACK delivers complete FPGA-based OTN (optical transport network) products targeting packet and optical networking equipment suppliers.

The transaction is expected to close later this month, subject to standard closing conditions and other terms set forth in the agreement. AppliedMicro will retain license rights to TPACK technology following the divestiture.
